The executive shuttle is used to transfer personnel from Earth's surface to Earth Spacedock in the late 23rd century. Another variation of this vessel is used by Nebula-class starships. The USS Farragut NCC-60597 used an executive shuttle to aid in recovery of the crashed USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D saucer on Veridian III.
